5 Crucial Steps to Buying Wholesale Nutritional Supplements
Whether you own a pharmacy, health store, grocery store, or
even if you are a healthcare professional,
getting quality nutritional
supplements from a dependable wholesaler is not always easy. There are many
companies that make big claims for their products while their consumers waste
money on supplements that don't work.
That's why it is crucial for you to choose your wholesale
distributor carefully. Here are five steps to ensure that you stock your
shelves (or online catalog) with quality nutritional supplements at affordable
rates.
1. Compare Nutritional Supplements and Check for Quality
Before signing on with a wholesale company, compare their brand
names and product quality with others. Ask for referrals. Speaking with other
business owners who use their products will give you plenty of information. Ask
how their customers liked the products.

Benefits of Cardio Interval Training
In a long-term study of the health of the people of in the United States, the U.S. Public Health Service
documented the chances of developing heart disease among various groups in the population. Long before the any symptoms appeared, epidemiological research could identify high-risk groups.
Among the highest risk factors are male sex, age over 35, cigarette smoking, high blood pressure, high levels of certain blood fats, and a family history of cardiovascular disorders.
Other researchers have added to this list another risk factor: the compulsive, hard-driving, highly anxious personality. The greater the number of severity, the greater the person’s overall risk.
These threats to the heart can be divided into two main categories: those beyond individual control, such as age, sex, and heredity, and those that can be controlled, avoided, or even eliminated. Among those in the second category are what cardiologists call “the triple threat.” These are the high blood pressure, cigarette smoking, and high cholesterol levels in the blood.
If you smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, your risk of having a heart attack is twice that of a nonsmoker. If you smoke, have hypertension, and eat a diet high in fats without any exercise at all, your risk is five times greater than normal.

ACTION OF ALCOHOL ON INTERNAL ORGANS. - HEART
Alcohol weakens the heart.
--------------------------
Consumption of alcohol greatly affects the heart. The quality of the membraneous structures which cover and
line the heart changes and are thickened, become cartilaginous or calcareous. Then the valves lose their suppleness and what is termed valvular disorder becomes permanent. The structure of the the coats of the great blood-vessel leading from the heart share in the same changes of structure so that the vessel loses its elasticity and its power to feed the heart by the recoil from its distention, after the heart, by its stroke, has filled it with blood.
Again, the muscular structure of the heart fails owing to degenerative changes in its tissue. The elements of the muscular fibre are replaced by fatty cells or, if not so replaced, are themselves transferred into a modified muscular texture in which the power of contraction is greatly reduced.
Those who suffer from these organic deteriorations of the central and governing organ of the circulation of the blood learn the fact so insidiously, it hardly breaks upon them until the mischief is far advanced. They are conscious of a central failure of power from slight causes such as overexertion, trouble, broken rest or too long abstinence from food. They feel what they call a 'sinking' but they know that wine or some other stimulant will at once relieve the sensation. Thus they seek to relieve it until at last they discover that the remedy fails. The jaded, overworked, faithful heart will bear no more. it has run its course and the governor of the blood-streams broken. The current either overflows into the tissues gradually damming up the courses or under some slight shock or excess of motion ceases wholly at the centre.

Quick Tips to Boost Your Metabolism
There are a lot of people who would give a lot to increase their metabolism. Having a high level of
metabolism enables one to maintain burn fat and lose weight fast with the least amount of activity. Metabolism is the rate by which the body produces and consumes energy and calories to support life.
There are several factors that affect the metabolism of a person, such as the amount of muscle tissue, the frequency of the meals one consumes, genetics, stress levels, personal diet and activity levels. Metabolism slows done due to the following: loss of muscle because of not enough physical activity, the tendency of the body to cannibalize its own tissue because there is not enough food energy to sustain it, and the decrease of physical activity that comes naturally with old age.
Here are several ways to fire up one's metabolism:
1. Build up on lean, mean body mass. It is only natural that metabolism decreases along with age, but it is possible to counter the effects. The amount of muscle a person has is a very strong determinant in the ability to burn calories and shed fat. So it goes without saying that exercise is essential. Build strength and resistance by working out at least twice a week, preferably with weights. Do easy exercises in between workouts. Simple tasks such as walking the dog and using the stairs in place of the elevator can already take off calories. The key is to match the amount of eating to the amount of activity one has. Here are some guidelines in getting the right exercise:

3 Ways To Drink More Water
After a little research it is apparent that nobody really knows
where the saying that you need to drink 8 cups
of water per day comes from.
Some people trace it back to a study in the 1980's, and other people claim that
doctors starting telling people that amount because it was a good goal, but
didn't have any scientific research to back it up with.
Either way, the point is clear, water does wonders for your
body, and your brain. Water is well known to cleanse your body of harmful
chemicals through your intestines and also throughout your urine tract. Without
proper water intake, our bodies break down very quickly, in a matter of days.
Without food, however, some people can live for a week or two. That just shows
how important water is to our bodies.
Here are 3 quick tips for taking in more water.
1. Always have water available.
I like to buy the 12 ounce bottles of water and keep them in
the fridge. Whenever I go to the gym I grab a bottle. On my way out the door to
work, I grab a bottle. Before a trip that will be 30 minutes or longer, I grab
a bottle. When I watch a movie, I grab a bottle.
Whenever I am sitting watching TV or a movie, I will keep the
bottle in my hand with the lid off. I take a lot of little sips until the
bottle is gone. A great way of making sure you drink more water is to make sure
it is easily accessible.

Reduce Your Calorie Intake To Take Off The Pounds
Reduce Your Calorie Intake To Take Off The
Pounds
Every ounce of fat stored in your body
represents about 250 calories. If you eat only 1,000 calories per day, but
actually burn 2,480, there is a difference of 1,480 calories that must come
from your fat warehouse. Divide these 1,480 calories by 250 (the number of
calories per ounce of body fat) and you get the figure 5.9—roughly, 6 ounces of
fat that you can expect to lose per day on a 1,000-calorie diet.
But oh bliss, oh joy! If you eat 100
calories of protein instead of 100 calories of carbohydrate you'll lose weight
even faster—this because of the specific dynamic action of protein that causes
100 calories of it actually to lay the lash on your metabolism so that 130 to
140 calories are burned! With fat and carbohydrate, only 104 to 106 calories
are burned under the same circumstances.
You want to lose 25 pounds, or 400 ounces.
Losing 6 ounces per day on a 1,000-calorie diet, you will require just about
two months to reach your goal. After that, you can graduate to your maintenance
diet (2,480 calories example) and be rid of fat worries evermore.

7 Steps To Control Childhood Asthma
Asthma is the most common chronic (long-term) childhood
disease. In America
about nine million children
are diagnosed with asthma. Up to ten per cent of
children in Europe are also suffering from
asthma symptoms. Unfortunately parents of these children are often uninformed
about the various ways to control childhood asthma.
If you suspect your child has asthma the first priority is
correct diagnosis. However, be aware that symptoms can vary from episode to
episode and not all wheezing and coughing is caused by asthma. Asthma-like
symptoms in children younger than five are usually due to a virus or bacterial
infection of the airways. However if your child is experiencing breathing
difficulties it is best to get them to a doctor whatever the cause.

Why Muscles Get Sore
As people age, they begin to complain more of pains in their muscles and joints. They seem to stiffen up with
age, and such commonplace activities as bending over for the morning paper can make them wince.
Such pain can grip so fiercely that they are sure it begins deep in their bones. But the real cause of stiffness and soreness lies not in the joints or bones, according to research at the Johns Hopkins Medical School, but in the muscles and connective tissues that move the joints.
The frictional resistance generated by the two rubbing surfaces of bones in the joints is negligible, even in joints damaged by arthritis.
Flexibility is the medical term used to describe the range of a joint’s motion from full movement in one direction to full movement in the other. The greater the range of movement, the more flexible the joint.
If you bend forward at the hips and touch your toes with your fingertips, you have good flexibility, or range of motion of the hip joints. But can you bend over easily with a minimal expenditure of energy and force? The exertion required to flex a joint is just as important as its range of possible motion.

Understanding Acne and Getting Rid of Them - SHARE THIS
Everyone goes through it. Mornings of anguish in the discovery of a red throbbing acne on the face is something every person has experienced in their lives. While this may seem a disaster to some, others can take it just for what it is and calmly treat the acne to get rid of it.
Acne is different from the common pimple because it could leave a permanent scar in your face, neck or back. This is how acne grows: when your skin pore starts to clog due to greasy oil and toxins, it starts to get inflamed. If left untreated, It could develop into an infection which could damage further the affected parts.
It is evident on teenagers and young adults because they are reaching the puberty stage of life, where the levels of hormones causes some changes in the skin gland size, which causes larger amount of oil secretion produced by these glands, resulting to acne.

Drugs that Induce Weight Loss
Drugs that Induce Weight Loss
Recent studies have shown that more people are getting overweight every year. This happens not only to adults but even to kids who have just started in school.
A lot of factors cause this to happen such as genetics, overeating, the type of food taken into the body and as people age, the metabolism slows down making it harder than before to burn the food that was just consumed.
There are many ways to solve this problem. Some have decided to undergo surgery, while others have decided to change the dietary intake and exercise.
Since this takes time and most people can’t wait to get rid of the extra weight, these people have decided to take the fastest way out which is through the use of weight loss drugs.

HOW ALCOHOL RETARDS DIGESTION.
HOW ALCOHOL RETARDS DIGESTION.
And here, in order to give those who are not familiar with, the process of digestion, a clear idea of that important operation, and the effect produced when alcohol is taken with food, we quote from the lecture of an English physician, Dr. Henry Monroe, on "The Physiological Action of Alcohol." He says:
"Every kind of substance employed by man as food consists of sugar, starch, oil and glutinous matters, mingled together in various proportions; these are designed for the support of the animal frame. The glutinous principles of food fibrine, albumen and casein are employed to build up the structure; while the oil, starch and sugar are chiefly used to generate heat in the body.

A better “help-sleep” drug
Have you been tossing and rolling in bed lately? Staring
endlessly in the ceiling till the wee hours of the
morning while counting
sheep? Then you are suffering from sleeping disorder or insomnia. Insomnia can
also be defined as difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, waking up too
early, or waking up feeling worn out. Almost everyone has brief encounters with
insomnia. Studies show that about 10% of Americans suffer from insomnia.
Though there are really no concrete causes of insomnia. Experts
claim that conditions that may cause it may vary from person to person. Health
factors such as heart ailment, sleep apnea, asthma can result in insomnia for
some individuals. While environmental factors like a simple sound, an
uncomfortable mattress or pillow may cause a difference in the sleep patterns
for a few. Diet also plays a role in the development of insomnia. Excess
caffeine or food consumed close to bedtime may affect the quality of sleep.
Other reasons of insomnia are anxiety, depression, and stress. Be sure to
evaluate yourself of the factors mentioned if you are having difficulty in your
sleep. However these episodes of sleeplessness usually last for a few nights
and the sleep pattern returns to its normal. This happens when the cause of the
sleep disturbance is settled. If an individual suffer from insomnia for a month
or more, treatment is required to restore the sleeping pattern back to normal

3 “Must Do” - Steps To A Happier & Healthier Day
Losing weight and maintaining the weight loss for an extended
period of time requires some simple lifestyle adjustments. As long as you keep
your adjustments within a sustainable reach, you should be able to lose weight
and keep it off without much shock and interruption to your daily life.
Not surprisingly, losing weight does not have to require
extended trips to the gym or engagement in some fad diet. Here are there steps
to a healthier day that can help you slim down on weight without slimming down
on your free time.
Exercise Daily
Daily exercise can make a difference in your body shape and in
the way your body processes calories. When you exercise, you work your heart,
mind and body. You are building your muscle mass, which in turn will increase
the effectiveness of your metabolism.
Additionally, you encourage your heart to pump blood throughout
your body more effectively, which means that you will have healthier blood and
a reduced risk of heart disease. You reduce fatty deposits, which in turn helps
reduce your risk of many health problems, such as diabetes. You also increase the
number of endorphins that flow through your body, which means that you will
note an increase in your positive attitude.
It does not require a large amount of time exercising to
receive all of the above benefit. You simply need to workout regularly for a minimum
of half an hour. Working out means taking a two-mile walk at a fast pace,
throwing a Frisbee or riding a bicycle. Whatever the workout is, keep in mind
that it should elevate your heart above it standing heart rate and it should
make you breathe slightly heavier than normal. It is also good if you can break
a sweat or feel your muscles challenged.
Eat All Things in Moderation
When you are trying to lose weight or sustain lost weight, it
is vital that you allow yourself to eat all foods, but
eat the unhealthy ones
in moderation. The primary reason for many diets to fail is that people reduce
the foods that they allow themselves to eat so drastically that they feel
anxious after awhile eating the same things time and time again. When you allow
yourself to give into simple cravings, you are rewarding your body and making
it less tempted to crave larger portions of the bad foods.
You should also eat small portions of every food, regardless of
its nutritional content. Eating smaller portions will help your stomach adjust
to consuming less food. You can also drink water to help you feel full.
American’s especially have a habit of eating more than one portion of food per
meal – so be aware of your food portions!
